STEP 1 GET THE APP
Download the FREESTREAM app from the App Store or Google Play.
System Requirements: iPad A7 and above iOS 8.0 and above Android 7.0 and above
STEP 2 INSERT BATTERIES
Pinch the paddle on the side of your transmitter and receiver to open the battery compartment and remove the battery tray. Insert two 3.7V 14500 800mAh lithium-ion batteries and slide the tray back in. Standard AA will not work. Make sure you put in your batteries according to the diagram.
STEP 3 ATTACH ANTENNAS
Screw two on the transmitter and two on the receiver. For the best broadcast, angle your antennas outward.
STEP 4 CONNECT YOUR CAMERA VIA HDMI
Connect your FREESTREAM transmitter to your camera using the HDMI cable that comes with your kit.
STEP 5 LAUNCH YOUR SIGNAL
Press and hold the power button until the red light turns on. When it’s ready, the light will change to solid blue.
Your devices will show a number between 1-4, this is your channel. Your transmitter should automatically detect the channel of your receiver, but if it doesn’t, the (handshake) button will allow you to change the channel.
NOTE: If after several minutes the light is still flashing blue, or you want to get a better signal, use the receiver to switch channels to search for a frequency with less interference.
STEP 6 TURN YOUR CAMERA ON
Once you’ve set up all of your connections, turn on your camera.
STEP 7 CONNECT YOUR IOS OR ANDROID DEVICE
Open the wifi settings on your Android or iOS device. Your FREESTREAM wi signal will look this: FREESTREAM_000000. Your default password is 12345678. Connect to the wifi signal with your iOS or Android device.
STEP 8 LAUNCH THE FREESTREAM APP
You’re ready to watch your video from the receiver in
real time. Just launch the FREESTREAM app on your Android or iOS device and begin wireless monitoring. You can customize your signal quality within the Configure section of the application.
Cast your video and audio directly to YouTube, Facebook or any other live platforms in real time by using the FREESTREAM app to connect your accounts.
STEP 9 CONNECT TO AN HDMI MONITOR
Connect your FREESTREAM receiver to an HDMI monitor by plugging the Mini to Standard HDMI cable from the receiver’s HDMI out to your monitor’s HDMI in.
With two brand-new, fully charged batteries, you’ll get about 60-80 minutes of power. The red battery light will indicate when you’re running low on power, and you may notice a drop in signal quality. In a pinch, you
can power your receiver via the USB adapter provided.
NOTE: Your USB power cable can’t be used to transmit data.
